Protect Midlothian's Public Services

Cuts Leaflet

"Midlothian Council is preparing for the biggest cuts to public services in generations, yet the Scottish Government has set aside over £2 Billion for the replacement of the Forth Road Bridge while increasing the budget for new roads. £2 Billion could build over 20,000 council houses or 50 new secondary schools at a time when the building industry is in desperate need of help and land prices are relatively low. It is clear from this budget that the SNP shows no commitment to combating climate change, fuel poverty and lack of affordable housing" - Ian Baxter, Convener Midlothian Green Party
